Little Bodies, Big Sleep Needs

Professional sleep education for daycare providers, preschool teachers, childcare directors, and early-childhood staff.

About this program

Early-childhood professionals manage sleep every day: nap schedules, room environments, children who will not settle, and families asking for guidance. Most training programs cover it briefly, if at all.

This program gives staff a working understanding of early-childhood sleep so they can structure the day well and speak confidently with families.

What it covers

  • Sleep and nap needs across the early-childhood years
  • Designing nap routines and environments that work in a group setting
  • Children who resist settling, and what usually helps
  • How the daytime schedule affects nights at home, and the reverse
  • Talking with families about sleep without giving clinical advice
  • Recognizing when a child should be referred for evaluation
